PERLE A VENEZIA is directly descended from PAROPAMISO, a shop selling predominantly Oriental jewellery and folk art, located near Piazza San Marco, since 1975.
In 1993 the insightfulness of PAROPAMISO’s owners led to the debut of an offshoot, PAROPAMISO INGROSS, a company aimed at the retail market for beads of every kind, material and origin, with costume jewellery, ethnic home furnishings, textiles, trade beads and antique beads. PAROPAMISO INGROSS quickly won a share of the national market, and is known throughout Europe, even receiving orders from overseas. It has participated in the main trade fairs for the sector in Italy and Europe for over 15 years, independently organises showrooms in Milan, and has opened a branch in Wiesbaden near Frankfurt (Germany).
Following changes in the market, in 2012 PERLE A VENEZIA detached from PAROPAMISO INGROSS (which then became PAROPAMISO VENICE), returning to more specifically targeting the wholesale market of Murano beads, antique beads, old and vintage beads, and retaining its link with the past by continuing to sell ethnic objects in wood and other materials, textiles and silver imported from Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and India.
Owing to its experience spanning almost forty years, the company is often consulted by experts and collectors from all over the world, and assists authors writing on the subject and in the search for beads or other rare objects.
